The World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) unites every company and country in the world that has an operating commercial nuclear power plant to achieve the highest possible standards of nuclear safety.
They had a requirement for a worldwide reporting system and we were delighted that they chose datb to develop this global system.
We were introduced to WANO via our long-standing relationship with EDF Nuclear Generation. We were able to provide a proof-of-concept implementation that demonstrated the productivity of the platform and allowed them to see how the finished system would look to its various types of user.
The system facilitates the collection of periodic information from all nuclear power stations worldwide, allowing the submission, collection and analysis of performance and safety information relating to the global operation of nuclear energy generation.
Administrative users can configure complex performance calculations to enable the production of worldwide performance and safety benchmarks, enabling global analysis of trends and identification of best practices.
