User Interface

When an application designer considers the user interface, they normally decide whether the application will be deployed over the web, through a web browser or across the network using a windows client interface.  This decision then drives the user interface.  With kinodb, both mechanisms can be used simultaneously to deliver an application to users.

kinodb tailors the application for each interface, making use of common features and characteristics of each environment, whilst ensuring the same functionality is delivered to all interfaces.  This approach also ensures a user can easily transfer from one environment to another.  Because kinodb tailors the output for the given user interface, in particular the type and version of the browser, a kinodb application can be instantly deployed to any web enabled device, such as a Zaurus hand held, as show in the image on the right.
